Doing Stuff Outdoors-100

This is the 100th edition of DSO. Gary had hoped to produce a special anniversary show complete with balloons and fireworks to celebrate. Well it isn’t going to happen, on this show at least. But plans are underway for a special anniversary edition of DSO down the road and you can learn more about it on todays show.
Also today, a road report from cyclists Eric and Elaine Hendrickson from Presque Isle, Maine. And on the ‘Runners’ segment Gary talks to 70 year old Frank Kelly and his daughter Marta. He started running in his late 60’s and wore a pair of hiking boots on his first race. Frank must have caught the running bug because he and Marta ran the Boston Marathon together this year.
We’ll tell you about a new podcast called Rock and Trail Tales. Music on the show this week from Grayscale and Sickboys and Lowmen.

    SaWEET!

I am so glad and excited that you and Lorne liked my idea. Ive wanted to hear his AT songs for a long time. I hope other listeners agree.

Ive wished I couldve been there for a night or two or three while Lorne cranked out a new tune for his sheltermates. Oh well, hearing a song or two, and another dose of Trailmagic, will put there just the same.
    Thank you Gary and Lorne.
As always, cant wait for whatevers next on DSO!

Thanks for another great interview Gary. Here in Lodi there is a 71 year old who finished the Madison Marathon this year and does boot camp workouts 3 morning a week with the younger crowd. Very inspiring.

I think having someone interview you would be a great idea. Video even!

Are you still doing the p90x program? I heard you mention it when you started out, but haven’t heard much since. I just finished my second week, and I have already gotten to my target weight loss, and I feel much stronger. It is tough though.

    Take care
